Maybe Monday?

So I am about halfway through my next “mortgage” blog and I am just not going to be able to get it up tonight…and realistically, probably not tomorrow night either…so maybe Monday ๐Ÿ™‚But in the mean time, you hopefully aren’t buying a home this weekend, so relax and have a wonderful weekend. And if you are buying a house this weekend… well, maybe you should wait until Monday ๐Ÿ˜‰

From the Party

What a week it has been so far! The markets of the world are being driven by fear, and the rest of us are just spectators at the stampede. I have no idea how this all will resolve, but again and again I am thankful for the peace that passes understanding which guards my mind and heart. (Philippians 4:7) I read yesterday again about so many people withdrawing from the stock market and moving their money to the safety of bonds. The only problem is that they are doing it at a point where the market is at an extreme …

At The End of The Envelope

OK, so I really had my preach on at the beginning of the week, and today I am giving you a break ๐Ÿ™‚ Actually, I am taking a break. Matt is out of town for the weekend at a writer’s conference (how fun is that!), and I am holding down the fort. I have to tell you, not only do I preach about how much kids need their Daddy, we live it. We miss Daddy, and he has only been gone for one day! Anyway, I have a great blog for tomorrow which should be today’s but I just can’t …

Grace For Today

In over 9 years of marriage, I can count on one hand the number of times that Matt and I have been sick together. Unfortunately, this week we have added another finger ๐Ÿ™ We both thought it was just severe allergies over the weekend, but it is definitely something more now. We both ran a fever yesterday, and woke up this morning feeling like we had been hit by a bus. Anyway, we would so appreciate your prayers. Fortunately, our kids are all well. It is just Mom and Dad. It is amazing how little you feel like budgeting when …

Another Day

Well, I took yesterday off of blogging, but I think I’m taking another day off ๐Ÿ™‚ Life is good at the Jones’ household, but just a lot going on. Anyway, I’ll be back soon.God bless,Tracy

Labor Day

Good Monday morning! Here in America today is Labor day and everyone gets the day off, and I am going to take the day off from blogging as well. But it is September the 1st, payday for many of you, and it is a wonderful day to start a fresh. Get out your budget. Figure out how to pay for last month. Get your plan in place for this coming week and month, and then ask the Lord for grace to walk in His wisdom and plan every day. I love new beginnings and today is a wonderful day to …

So Very Hot

Yesterday was a very long and hot day. There is something to be learned from yesterday, however. For me that something is: Always check the weather before deciding to take your children to the zoo! The day before was so beautiful and I just assumed that yesterday would be to, but although it started out pretty, the temperature had climbed to over 100 degrees by the time we left the zoo. Ava and Luke’s faces were bright red, and I was completely soaked with sweat. I had in mind a casual outing and ended up climbing “Mt. Everest” instead ๐Ÿ™‚ …

A Week Off

So, after the weekend off and getting a little perspective from my husband, I have decided to take the rest of the week off of blogging. I am really going to be focusing on my book this week. I am also starting homeschooling my little Ava Joy. Noah is having his first full week at school, and there is a lot of transition. I just feel like I need to choose what I am focusing on because I have felt very scattered. Hopefully, I will make brilliant progress this week and will be back soon to tell you about it. …

Starting Kindergarten

My darling Noah starts Kindergarten today. He is so incredibly excited and happy. His Mommy is a little more emotional, although also very excited for him. I feel as if it is one of those monumental moments for our family. From now on we will have children in school. Matt has reminded me that he has been in pre-school already, but it just isn’t the same. We enrolled Noah in our local public pre-school last year, and it just was not a positive experience. I will spare you the details, but Noah eventually begged that he not have to go …

Is anyone else completely addicted to the Olympics? I sit breathless every nightโ€ฆ way past my bed time. Unfortunately for my blog and my book, the Olympics has very little to do with budgeting. Although, if I stretched I could talk about China overspending their budget by 33 Billion Dollars for the Olympics! Can you imagine going 33 Billion Dollars over budget. Maybe I should translate my blog into Chinese ๐Ÿ™‚ Although, there is no way it would get past all the sensors. OK, seriously I donโ€™t have a blog today and I blame it on the Olympics. I joked …
