Do you know that old saying? In the Spanish translation, it goes something like, “In a blacksmith’s home, knives are wooden”. In Chinese “the lady who sells fans fans herself with her hands”. In Arabic, “at the potter’s house water is served in a broken jug”. In the Jones House, “my website is desperately in need of a facelift.”
Anyway, for the last few years, my website has been a little sad. Yes, we build websites for a living, but it’s the last thing Matt or I want to be doing on evenings and weekends for ourselves (and no money). Consequently, my website has been a little… plain.
Until now.
I am beyond thrilled to have a new face to my home on the web, and I have to thank my beautiful husband for helping to make that happen. He’s worked such late nights with me to make this happen. Can I just tell you, if you need a website, you can not beat working with the one and only Matt Jones. Patient, kind, brilliantly gifted. I am constantly amazed by him. Thank you for making this happen, love.
I also want to thank my gifted friend Libby Rose for the photography. Libby has always been able to make me belly-laugh. Even when I want to cry or pout or we’re both struggling, we always end up laughing together. Anyway, as you can tell from the images on this site, she has an amazing eye. We had a ridiculously fun time taking these pictures and I couldn’t be happier. If you’d like to see more of her gorgeous work, you can visit with her on her website: www.companyrose.com Love you, Lib!
So, enjoy. My newest novella is going to be hosted right here on my website in monthly installments on my blog. It’s called A Beautiful Day Once and I hope you have as much fun reading it as I’ve had writing it. At the very least, you’ll have a lovely place to come and read it. Or get it in your inbox by signing up for my newsletter. Newsletter subscribers are getting it a week earlier, so don’t miss out!!!
Love to you all, dear friends. I’m not sure you can be a real writer without readers, and that makes you one of the most precious parts of this writing journey.
